This Rainforest Medicine Council Gathering will be facilitated by Jonathon Miller Weisberger, author of Rainforest Medicine: Preserving Indigenous Science and Biodiversity in the Upper Amazon. The experience Jonathon brings as an adept ethnobotanist, conservation pioneer and rainforest guide after decades of delving deep into the pulsating heart of Rainforest Medicine traditions brings this retreats to a whole next level! This council is blessed to count on the participation of Scott Crawford, a devoted community organizer on Maui, and practitioner of Hawaiian cultural and spiritual traditions. Scott serves the Rainforest Medicine Councils as group facilitator, carrying the grace and beauty of the Aloha Spirit to guide us in the successful fulfillment of an auspiciously wonderful experience.

The Week-long Council includes the following offerings:

Day 2: Sunrise Renewal ceremony, walk of ethnobotanical gardens,
Day 3: Sunrise Renewal ceremony, walk to Rio Claro for a swim,
Day 4: Aura cleansing plant bath, all night healing and wellness Plant Medicine Ceremony,
Day 5 Rest day and Group integration Council, talk on mythic origins of the Ceremony of Yagé,
Day 6: Aura cleansing plant bath, all night healing and wellness Plant Medicine Ceremony,
Day 7: Rest day and Group integration Council,

Not Included

  • Domestic travel between San Jose and Ocean Forest; approximately $200.
  • On route San Jose hotel if needed Approx. $88 for solo room, or less if with a roommate. (Note: Mention Ocean Forest Ecolodge at adventure-inn.com for a discount!)
  • Gratuities (we recommend $10 daily to be shared among the amazing staff, cooks, room keepers, gardeners and guides all who are part of serving this experience)

This retreat will take place at Ocean Forest Ecolodge, a permaculture garden 20+ years in the making located on Costa Rica’s treasured Osa Peninsula, bordering Corcovado National Park. A veritable paradise, well known for its vast diversity of animal and plant life, this oasis is perfectly nestled between the rainforest and the sparkling Pacific Ocean, plumb on a deserted paradise people friendly beach.
