An immersive experience into the pulsating heart of ancient upper Amazonian therapeutical plant medicine ceremonies for personal, community and planetary renewal, held in accordance with millenary, time-tested wellness traditions.
This Rainforest Medicine Council Gathering will be facilitated by a skilled facilitators: Jonathon Miller Weisberger, author of Rainforest Medicine: Preserving Indigenous Science and Biodiversity in the Upper Amazon will be joined by Gerard Artesona, a psychotherapist specializing in integration therapy and counseling with a private practice in Oakland California. The experience Jonathon brings as an adept ethnobotanist, conservation pioneer and rainforest guide after decades of delving deep into the pulsating heart of Rainforest Medicine traditions, combined with Gerard’s synergistic input, brings this retreats to a whole next level!

This council includes four plant medicine ceremonies, these being: two Sunrise Renewal Ceremonies and two Traditional Therapeutical Plant Medicine Ceremonies.
Also consider adding two more ceremonies in four nights. One more Traditional Healing Medicine Ceremony for eye opening, and another Sunrise Renewal to tie it all together.
Attendees will receive a dieta protocol to follow via email after registration.

- Three natural wholesome dieta friendly meals daily, with fresh aromatic teas from the garden: lemon-grass, guayusa and cacao.
- On fasting days in preparation for ceremony, we offer optional fruit at breakfast and one simple dieta friendly meal at noon, for those who may feel they need this.
- Delve deep into ethnobotany and learn local medicinal plants on programmed excursions, rainforest and garden tours
- Introduction to an ancient ceremonial indigenous plant medicine tradition
- (2) Sunrise Renewal ceremonies with alkaline rich rainforest medicines

- Domestic travel between San Jose and Ocean Forest; approximately $200. (We’ll help you arrange it!)

- Gratuities (we recommend $10 daily to be shared among the amazing staff, cooks, room keepers, gardeners and guides all who are part of serving this experience)
This retreat will take place at Ocean Forest Ecolodge, a permaculture garden 20+ years in the making located on Costa Rica’s treasured Osa Peninsula, just south of Corcovado National Park. A veritable paradise, well known for its vast diversity of animal and plant life, this oasis is perfectly nestled between pristine towering gallery rainforest to the east and a secluded, intimate beach on the Pacific Ocean to the west. Perfect for either deep meditation/relaxation or exciting adventures and animal encounters, this beautiful sanctuary delivers profound healing even before ceremony begins. Don’t forget to drink a coconut!
